College of Arts and Letters: Private Screening of Lincoln
The Event and the School of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences Legacy Fund: JMU School of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences Alumni Advisory Board is sponsoring a private screening of the movie, Lincoln at the Arlington Cinema and Draft House on May 21, 2014. The event celebrates this award winning film with Keynote speaker Dr. David Dillard, Civil War expert from the JMU Department of History, as well as JMU Class of 1988 graduate, Christopher Boyer (invited guest) who played Robert E. Lee in the film, and provides a wonderful opportunity to meet and socialize with both alumni and faculty.
100% of the proceeds from this event will go directly into the Liberal Arts Legacy Fund. The Legacy Fund is used by the College of Arts and Letters to fund specific small scale academic projects, research efforts and in some instances, is used to prevent the best and brightest professors from being lured away by other universities. It helps JMU maintain a competitive academic advantage!
As you register, please consider adding an additional donation to the Liberal Arts Legacy Fund. Your donation will automatically be added to your event registration fee.
Please register by May 20. The first 100 people to register will be entered into a drawing for a $100 gift certificate to Clarendon Grill (Pete Pflug, '88) or a $100 gift certificate to the Port City Brewery (Bill Butcher, '88).
